Promises Kept

Today’s timing of the “BIG” Announcement, just before a federal by-election, is typical of the present federal government’s tactics to promote themselves with taxpayers money. 38 million over three years for Northern Development. This is conditional on the budget being passed when it is brought down. If it doesn’t pass they can blame the non-confidence vote that brought down the government. While ignoring our past government completely, this plump PM should have lost the confidence of our people.
Brad Wall seems to like riding along in Harper’s hip pocket like a puppeteer. While sloughing off the equalization payment of $800 million as a realization that S Harper isn’t going to keep that promise, he says $38 million is a good deal for the North. Speaking of keeping promises, which Brad emphasized so much during his campaign, what about the chair of the Enterprise Saskatchewan being non-political. Pre-election, this was a promise made but now BW feels comfortable changing his mind. I am sure he will be comfortable with more broken promises as the year passes.
